Haleon - Cookie Policy
Global (excluding the United States)
Last Updated: April 2026
This Cookie Policy describes how and why Haleon Plc ("Haleon", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies on our websites and mobile applications (collectively, the "Sites") where this Cookie Policy is posted. This policy applies to users of our Sites globally, except for those in the United States.
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small data files that a website or app places on your browser or device when you visit. Cookies allow the site to remember information about you, such as your preferences or your last visit to our Sites.
Cookies set by Haleon are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by other parties (e.g., advertising providers) are called "third-party cookies", meaning they come from a domain different from the domain of our Site.
We also use other technologies for similar purposes, including web beacons, pixels and identifiers associated with your device or browser. For simplicity, we refer to all these technologies as "cookies" (or "similar technologies") in this Cookie Policy.
How We Use Cookies
We use cookies when you visit, navigate, or interact with our Sites. Our use of cookies falls into a few categories, described below.
Session vs. Persistent Cookies. Our Sites use both session and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary cookies that last only for the duration of your browsing session and are deleted once you close your browser or app. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period of time even after your session (the specific lifespan of each cookie is listed in the table below), unless you delete them or they expire.
1. Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies are essential for our Sites to function properly and securely. They cannot be switched off in our systems because the Sites won't work correctly without them. We use strictly necessary cookies to:
- Provide core features and security: For example, to recognize you as you navigate the Site as a returning user during a single session, to enable basic functions like page navigation and content access, and to distribute traffic load on our servers (load balancing).
- Remember your choices: For instance, we set a cookie to record your cookie preferences (so that we don't show you the cookie consent banner every time you visit).
Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent. You cannot disable strictly necessary cookies via the preferences on our Sites, as they are needed for our Sites to function.
2. Non-Essential Cookies (Performance, Functional, Social Media and Advertising Cookies): We also use cookies that are not strictly necessary. These cookies serve other helpful purposes as described below:
- Performance/Analytics Cookies: These cookies help us understand how visitors use our Sites. They collect information about how you interact with our Sites (e.g. which pages you visit, features used, time spent, or any errors encountered). We use this data to improve our Site's performance, services, and your user experience.
- Functional Cookies: These cookies allow the Sites to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, more personal features. For example, they may remember your language or region selection or keep you logged in where applicable. This helps tailor the Sites to you and improve functionality.
- Social Media Cookies: These cookies are set by social media services that we have added to our Sites to enable you to share our content with your friends and networks (for example, via platforms such as Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, or similar services). These cookies may:
- Enable sharing functionality and integration with social media platforms;
- Recognise your interaction with our content when you are logged into those platforms;
- Track your browser across other websites and build a profile of your interests.
This tracking may affect the content and messages you see on other websites or platforms you visit. In some cases, social media cookies may also support advertising and targeting activities, including measuring the effectiveness of campaigns or delivering personalised content through social media platforms.
If you disable these cookies, you may not be able to use or see these sharing tools, and certain social media features may not function properly.
- Advertising/Targeting Cookies: These cookies are used to deliver content or ads that are more relevant to you and your interests, including on third-party websites. They allow us and our advertising partners to recognise that you visited our Sites and help us to profile your browsing habits and display advertisements that are more likely to interest you (including on third-party websites or apps). They may also limit the number of times you see the same ad and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Many of these are third-party cookies set by our advertising partners. We also use remarketing and audience services provided by our advertising partners to personalise advertisements for users who have previously interacted with Haleon. This means that, after visiting our Sites, you may see Haleon advertisements on websites or platforms operated by third parties (such as on Facebook or Google) within their advertising networks.
We may also use information collected through these cookies to make decisions about your interests and preferences so we can make our marketing materials more relevant to you, and to combine the information we hold about you with data about your interests or demographics that third parties have collected from you online and offline, to make your experience more personalised and further tailor our marketing materials.
For users located in countries where opt-in consent is required, we will not set non-essential cookies unless you have given consent via our cookie banner or preferences centre (see Managing Cookies below). In regions where such opt-in consent is not required, we still respect your ability to control cookies, and you can always adjust your preferences or opt out as explained in this Policy.
The specific types of first-party and third-party cookies that we use on our Sites (and their purposes) are detailed in our cookie consent tool on our Sites. You can access this at any time by clicking the “Cookies Settings” link at the bottom of each of page. Our cookie consent management platform will display an up-to-date list of cookies, allow you to consent or withdraw consent for each category, and reflect any changes in the cookies we use.
Please note that cookies set by third parties on our Sites (third-party cookies) are subject to those third parties' own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control the data practices of these third parties. For more information about who these third parties are, what cookies they use, and what they do with the information, see the List of Third Parties Using Cookies section below and consider reviewing their privacy policies.
Managing Cookies
Cookie Banner and Consent: When you first visit our Site (or after a significant change to our cookies), you will see a cookie banner. This banner informs you about the types of cookies we use and why we use them. If you are in a country that requires opt-in consent for non-essential cookies, our banner will ask you to choose your cookie preferences (i.e. to consent or not consent to each category of non-essential cookies). You can opt to "Accept All" non-essential cookies, "Reject All Non-Essential", or make a granular selection for each cookie category (Performance, Functional, Advertising) according to your preferences.
Cookie Preference Centre: Even after you’ve made your initial choice, you can update your cookie settings at any time. To do so, click on the “Cookie Settings” link available at the bottom of our Sites. This will reopen our cookie preference centre, where you can modify your consent choices. Any changes you make will be remembered on future visits (unless you clear your cookies, in which case we’ll ask again). Please note that strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled via the preferences centre, as they are essential for the operation of our Sites (including security, network management, and accessibility features).
Browser & Device Settings: In addition to our Site tools, you have the option to manage cookies through your web browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies or alert you when a cookie is being set. Please be aware that if you disable all cookies (especially strictly necessary ones) via your browser, some parts of our Site may not function properly. For guidance on how to adjust your browser cookie settings, you can refer to your browser's help documentation or visit YourAdChoices.com (which provides instructions and tools for opting out of certain cookies).
Opt-Out Tools for Advertising Cookies: Many of our third-party advertising and analytics partners are members of industry organizations that offer centralized opt-out tools. For example, the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) and the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA) provide webpages where you can opt out of targeted ads from participating companies. You can visit the NAI's opt-out page or the DAA's WebChoices tool to manage your advertising preferences. To opt-out on their websites, you can visit https://optout.networkadvertising.org, https://optout.aboutads.info and https://www.youronlinechoices.com. For mobile apps, you can download the AppChoices app (available at www.aboutads.info/appchoices) which allows you to opt out of interest-based ads on your mobile device. Additionally, your device's operating system may offer privacy settings.
In addition to managing your cookie preferences using these centralised opt-out tools or on our Sites, you can control personalised advertising through certain third-party platforms directly. For example, you can turn off personalisation for advertisements served by Google by clicking here, or for advertisements served by Facebook by clicking here.
